NWT is developing a concept and the tender documents for the recovery and energy usage of the sewage sludge produced by 2 large sewage treatment plants in Egypt, each with around 1 million PE. After previous evaluation of several options such as anaerobic biogas production, solar or thermal drying and/or combustion, a financial model and subsequently a national tender as a ppp model were created.
